Approved Driving School

​Approved Driving School is seeking part-time independent contractors for behind-the-wheel driving instructors and classroom instructors to work at our Gwinnett County location.

Available Hours: 

​

• Monday - Thursday: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

• Friday: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

• Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

• Sunday: 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

 

(Hours may vary based on program needs, with expanded availability during summer and school breaks).

Requirements: 

​

• Flexible schedule, including weekdays & weekends

• Ability to teach both classroom and driving sessions (2-hour lessons)

• Strong communication, patience, and organization skills

• Familiarity with GPS, trip planning, and basic computer skills

• Experience training students of all ages & skill levels

 

​​Certification and Training: 

​

• Preference for currently certified Georgia DDS Certified Instructors

• Non-certified candidates must complete DDS certification before teaching

• On-the-job training includes a free 30-hour online course

• Compensation begins upon independent instruction

GA Department of Driver Services Instructor Requirements:

​

• Complete GA DDS application

• Pass background check & drug screening
